I was SO excited to edit these pictures because Cinque Terre was my favorite stop of the 8 cities we visited. We stayed in Vernazza which Rick Steve's calls "the jewel of Cinque Terre." It was there that we had the most beautiful views and the tastiest food. I'd never experienced "al dente" until I had it there. Mmm.. spaghetti vongole.
We had to stop in Pisa to take the train to Cinque Terre, so we had a lot of fun taking pictures of kicking it and pushing it over. We're such tourists.
Arrived in Vernazza at dusk!
View outside our window, and where I hung my socks!
View of Vernazza from our hike across the 5 towns
They actually had vineyards and farmland up here!
Between 2 of the cities there was a "Lovers Walk" where in olden days, lovers from the neighboring towns would come and meet each other.
Like these two...
The following are of the same shot but at different times of the day.
